Nestled in the tranquil landscape between Coorg’s majestic hills and lush flat lands, Organic Farm Stay in Coorg is a unique set of five conceptual cottages, ideal for family vacations amidst the splendorous bounties of nature.

Organic Farm Stay in Coorg is a thoughtfully designed farm stay in the heart of Coorg, in Guddehosur. It is a result of Mr. Narendra Hebbar’s passion for nature and his keen eye for detail in creating a space which is a beautiful collage of many intricate parts. Every single element here is a tribute to the richness of the topography.

Organic Farm Stay in Coorg has bloomed as a result of the region’s natural bounty and Mr. Hebbar’s unmatched zeal for perfection. It is not just a wonderful place to unwind with your family, but is also a great way to acquaint yourself with the beauty of the land.

    Cottage

Constructed primarily with bamboo, all the cottages at Organic Farm Stay in Coorg are eco-friendly and durable. Roofs are made of canvas-covered, heat and water-resistant eco-boards which are free of the skin-unfriendly asbestos. The dining and kitchen areas are built with eucalyptus logs as support pillars and thick hay-thatched roofs that

keep the temperature in the rooms at comfortable levels.

Pocket-spring mattresses in the cottages are of international standard. Quilts and sheets are made of pure cotton brought from Theni in Tamil Nadu. Table lamps, lampshades and bamboo curtains have been sourced from URAVU, a non-governmental organization that promotes handmade, high-quality bamboo decorative.

    Food

Pure vegetarian food is served here. Locally-sourced and organically-grown vegetables and fruits are part of the recipes which are based on Coorg, Malnad and Kerala cuisine. A special type of chilly called the Gandhari (Bird’s eye Chilly) is used for cooking which is known to help cool the body and reduce cholesterol levels. It has also been used as a natural remedy for arthritis, rheumatism, flatulence and toothache.

Mrs. Hebbar herself is a very good cook and every meal is prepared under her guidance. She also happily shares her rare recipes of exotic chutnies. Chutnies like those made from bitter oranges and locally-grown special fruits and vegetables.

    Nature walk

A leisurely trip around the Organic Farm Stay in Coorg cottage will familiarize guests with the very friendly neighbourhood and farming cultures here. One can get to know about terrace farming as it is practiced quite extensively in the area.
