Your adventure begins by boarding a shared coach that will take you to the meet up point, in the preferred boarding location you preferred, and you will be conveyed to the Somavarpete basecamp. From there, you will meet your guide and learn about the trek you will undertake, including the safety precautions necessary. Then you will trek to imposing Kumara Parvatha. The path up the mountain will seem tranquil at first, with its rolling lush forests of high climates, the blossoming meadows well known for bursting into color following monsoons. But the path in the second stage is steep; a 2 kilometer incline that will test your strength, so ensure that you have sturdy, good-gripping footwear that will help you mount the incline. A break for lunch around noon, and then it’s the penultimate leg to Pushpagiri, which is the top of this famed peak. Stay close to your group as this stage is the most difficult, with the steepest trail and plenty of altitude gained, making it very difficult during the summer. Then, you follow the trail, which takes you once again into the forest, before you finally reach Pushpagiri. Upon reaching the peak, your group will be able to take photographs, take in the views, and rest. You’ll need it for the descent, going by way of Shesha Parvatha. It will be well into nightfall when you reach the basecamp, head to the homestay, and take a much-needed rest. You can dine by the campfire on some delicious local cuisine, and you can get some sleep if you like, but remember to wake in time for a beautiful sunrise. Day 2 will take you to a visit to the famed Mallalli waterfalls, a multi-level cascade nestled in the emerald forests. You can take photos and explore this paradise-like area. You’ll return to the homestay for some breakfast before you pack up and finally head back to Bangalore through the shared coach.
